Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic

Introducing our New Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic

There’s no longer any need to stand outside in a parking lot to avoid an office call fee!

As a service to our community, Pflugerville Animal Hospital is proud to be an established local veterinary clinic to offer low-cost vaccine clinic hours EVERY FIRST Saturday of each month, from 11 AM-1 PM beginning Saturday, December 2, 2023. We are kicking off our new endeavor by hosting a Special Low-Cost Clinic from 8am to 2pm on Tuesday, November 14th.

Important Information for Vaccine Clinics

Pre-Registration is now available and recommended but not required. It will save you time at your visit.

Fill out and return the following forms to us by: email to contact@pfah03.com

NEW CLIENTS (if you are completely new to our hospital) should fill out the new client form and the annual check-in form to submit by email, text, or fax. You can also bring us the hard copy. If the fillable forms don’t work for you, you can print them, fill them out by hand, then scan or photograph them to send or bring to us.

Bring the documents with you to the clinic during the Low-Cost Clinic Hours. If you are able to submit the forms before you come to the clinic we can save you time by already having your and your pet’s information ready to begin services. Preregistering in this manner WILL save you and your pets significant time at your visit! For multiple pets, you may print multiple forms or just get us the same information on all pets.

If you are not sure if you are already in our system, please fill out this form and then just ask us to double check BEFORE we enter you in again. If you are an existing client, but just need to add pets, use this same form–no need to fill out the entire top, just the bottom regarding the additional pets.

New Client Form Annual Check-In Form

EVERYONE (existing and new clients) will also need to fill out

a Vaccine Clinic Check-In Form AND a Vaccine Clinic Service Request Form. Again, having these forms filled out and ideally pre-submitted to us will greatly speed your visit on vaccine clinic day.

Vaccine Clinic Check-In Form Vaccine Clinic Service Request Form Client Information/Authorization

Please review these next two forms prior to your visit, to help familiarize yourself with the vaccines because the vaccine clinics do NOT allow for a consultation with the veterinarian. You do NOT need to fill these forms out or bring them with you.

Vaccine Clinic FAQs

Why is this low cost?

A standard vet appointment visit includes a thorough physical exam, as well as consultation with the vet on which vaccines to select, information on blood testing, dental health, parasites, and more. During the vaccine clinic hours, your pet’s exam only involves ensuring the lungs, heart, and temperature are within a healthy enough range to allow the safe administration of the vaccines.

Why are you offering this instead of requiring a full exam and consult?

Sometimes Pet Parents don’t have the time or financial resources to spend on a complete wellness exam and consultation.  Many will go to pop-up vaccine clinics to avoid the time and cost of a comprehensive exam. Sometimes it’s hard to obtain records of the vaccines or services performed by these temporary clinics if the original copies are misplaced or damaged. We want to offer a more permanent alternative to using the temporary clinics.

How does the vaccine clinic appts work?

  • During the Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic hours, patients are seen on a walk-in basis.  There are no appts scheduled in advance. Our vet will perform a brief exam to establish the safety of administering vaccines.  We use the same vaccines, tests, and microchips that are used at regularly scheduled appointments during the rest of our business hours.
  • Due to time constraints, and stock supplies, we do not offer a few vaccines that can be obtained during a normal appointment.  For example, you will not be able to get Canine Influenza, or Rattlesnake vaccinations.  We also only offer two lab tests, heartworm tests for dogs, and Feline triple tests (FIV/FELV/HW).
  • If the staff determines that a pet has an abnormal temperature, and upper respiratory condition, or a severe heart murmur, you may be refused services and asked to make a traditional appointment so that any health issues can be addressed more fully by a veterinarian.
